Curtis Hall & Arboretum terrace Side

Elegant Curtis Hall was once the music room and ballroom in the lavish Curtis estate.  The arboretum was founded by Mary Louise Curtis Bok, founder of the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia in honor of her father, Cyrus Curtis. Cyrus Curtis was an American publisher of magazines and newspapers, including the Ladies' Home Journal and The Saturday Evening Post. The landscaping was originally designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, landscape architect for New York City’s Central Park. The arboretum is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Curtis Hall offers a uniquely beautiful setting on a historical site for weddings, anniversaries or other special events. The lavish hall seats 100 and accommodates 150 for cocktail affairs, and features ornate ceiling and crown work, new hardwood floors, and a mural depicting the rolling wooded landscape offering a romantic setting for dining and dancing. Kitchen facilities, a stage, ample parking and handicapped access to the main floor are available. The flagstone terrace offers a climate controlled tent that can seat 175 to 200 guests. The space also offers surface parking for  100 vehicles and handicapped access to the main floor of the Hall.
